Netflix revealed the stylish opener of the anime adaptation of "Scott Pilgrim"
Netflix has released an opener for the anime "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off", based on Edgar Wright's "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and the comic book of the same name by Bryan Lee O'Malley. The opening credits of the anime will feature the song Bloom by Japanese band Necry Talkie, while the music for the series itself was composed by American rock band Anamanaguchi.
The plot of the upcoming anime series will repeat the plot of the movie: Scott Pilgrim meets the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers, but learns that in order to date her, he must defeat seven of her evil exes. The script for the anime was written by Bryan Lee O'Malley, who also served as executive producer on the project along with Wright.
The main cast of the movie will return for the series as well, with Michael Cera voicing Scott Pilgrim, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona, Kieran Culkin as Wallace, Ellen Wong as Knives, Chris Evans as Lucas, Aubrey Plaza as Julie, Alison Pill as Kim, Mark Webber as Steven, and Anna Kendrick as Stacey.
All eight episodes of the show will premiere on November 17.
