"War is coming": watch the trailer for the TV series "Shōgun"
FX has released a trailer for the series "Shōgun", an adaptation of James Clavell's 1975 novel of the same name. The creator and showrunner of the project was Justin Marks, known for the series "Counterpart".
The show is set in feudal Japan in the early 16th century, when an English ship is wrecked off the coast of the country. British sailor John Blackthorne miraculously survives and finds himself in a nearby fishing village. Along with Blackthorne, his secrets fall into it, which may help the powerful Lord Yoshi Toranaga deal with his rivals. Also the fates of Toranaga and Blackthorne are inextricably linked with their interpreter Toda Mariko — a Christian noblewoman and the last representative of a disgraced family.
Cosmo Jarvis, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Anna Sawai played the lead roles in the series. The ten-episode show will premiere in February 2024, but the exact date is still unknown.

The trailer is right promising and grandiose, it hasn't been like this for a long time, it looks very atmospheric
