Ghosts investigate in a teaser for the "Dead Boy Detectives" series
Netflix has unveiled the debut teaser for "Dead Boy Detectives", a supernatural series based on Neil Gaiman's comic books.
The action of "Dead Boy Detectives" will develop in the "The Sandman" universe. In the story, friends Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland (played by George Rexstrew and Jayden Revri) are ghosts who work in a detective agency and help clients escape evil witches, demons, ghosts, and even Death himself. Together with psychic Crystal and her friend Nico, they unravel the most mysterious paranormal cases.
The series was originally scheduled to air on HBO Max. Heroes even appeared in another project of the service "Doom Patrol", but after the appointment of James Gunn and Peter Safran heads of DC Studios, the show decided to sell to Netflix.
"Dead Boy Detectives" is being developed by Steve Yockey, producer of "Supernatural" and "The Flight Attendant". Yockey is serving as showrunner for the series along with Beth Schwartz ("Sweet Tooth"). A release date for the project has not yet been revealed.
