Head of DC Studios James Gunn confirmed the release date of the new Superman movie: as previously reported, "Superman: Legacy" will appear in theaters on July 11, 2025. The recent strikes of actors and screenwriters have not slowed down the development of the picture.

"Thanks to the efforts of our talented crew, who never lost faith during the longest strikes in Hollywood history, and who never let their foot off the pedal, continuing to barrel forward, creating the most amazing character and set designs I’ve seen in my entire career, #SupermanLegacy will be making the originally planned release date of July 11, 2025", — Gunn wrote on social media.

The director and screenwriter of the movie is James Gunn himself, the main roles will be played by David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan. Also in the picture will star Nathan Fillion and Anthony Carrigan.
