Netflix has renewed the animated series "Blue Eye Samurai" for a second season.
The project, created by Amber Noizumi and Michael Green ("Logan"), tells the story of swordswoman Mizu, living in Japan in the XVII century. Mizu becomes on a path of revenge to get even with those who have made her an outcast.
"When we started this project, we made a commitment to take this very personal story set in Edo-period Japan and bring it to life in the most authentic and beautiful way possible,” the pair said. “We are thankful to our entire team and to our viewers from all over the world who have shown such passion for Mizu and her path of revenge. Mizu has a lot more blood to spill!" — the creators said in a statement.
The first season of the project was released on November 3. Plot details and release date of the second installment will be announced later.
