Starz has shut down the comedy horror flick "Shining Vale" with Courteney Cox
Starz has shut down the comedy-horror "Shining Vale" — the series starring Courteney Cox ran for two seasons. According to Variety's source, the channel was not satisfied with the low ratings of the show.
Shooting of the second part, which premiered in October, ended about a year ago. Since then, series co-creator Jeff Astrof has been working on the script for the third season, which he says is already partially finished.
"I’m hoping another streamer picks the show up as we still have lots of story to tell — and Season 3 has already been partially written", — Astrof said. He also said that he was completely heartbroken over the unexpected news.
The series was about Pat and Terry Phelps, who move from a cramped Brooklyn apartment to an old mansion in Connecticut to save their marriage after Pat's infidelity and improve the lives of their children. Something creepy once happened in this house, but now everything seems to be fine. However, when Pat starts seeing the ghost of the house's former owner, the woman becomes convinced that she's either depressed or possessed — it turns out the symptoms are exactly the same.
