"The Omen" prequel will be released in April.

20th Century Studios has released the debut trailer for "The First Omen", a prequel to Richard Donner's classic horror film "The Omen". The main role in the new film was played by Nell Tiger Free ("Servant").

She played a young American novice who goes to Rome, where she is to fully devote herself to the church. But there she encounters a darkness that makes her doubt her own faith, and also learns of a terrible conspiracy, the purpose of which is the birth of the Antichrist.

Along with Free, the movie stars Sonia Braga, Ralph Ineson and Bill Nighy, and directed by Arkasha Stevenson ("Legion"), who also acted as one of the screenwriters.

The film will premiere on April 5.

I have just recently reviewed all the Omens, including 2006, and am currently reading the second book in the series. Let's see what they have done this time, it seems that something is not new in the plot, but with a modern beautiful picture)

@ZRaoulDuke: what, even the disgusting fourth one, about a girl, which was released immediately on video? By the way, I liked the books. There, after the third one, the quality, of course, sags, but it's still interesting.

@ZRaoulDuke: Oh way. Of course, I understand that all markers taste and color different, but compare Donner's classics with Moore's craft (I think it's his?) It's kind of awkward. No atmosphere, no brilliant music, some attempts to steal from the destination, which was already stealing from the original Omen in the triquel. An average craft of the noughties from Hollywood without its own face and atmosphere. Well, except for the cameo of a grown-up Damien in the role of a journalist, thank you. With all due respect to Schreiber and Thewlis, but they lose to Peck and Warner in everything, like the rest of the caste. And the boy there is generally purely from the remake of the "Call" ran away, and besides, no charisma of his own.

An extremely strange choice of song for the teaser. Not, according to something in the subject, but it is not possible to get rid of a strong association with the Vikings. You could at least insert a few notes from Goldsmith at the end. And according to the picture, it's normal. According to the content, this is about what I imagined: Satanic priests with orgies in full growth. Only the jackal was missing in the frame, although there is a feeling that in one scene behind the scenes he still wandered / wandered.
