Jake Gyllenhaal vs. Conor McGregor: the trailer for the action movie "Road House" has been released
Amazon Prime Video has released a trailer of the action movie "Road House" — a remake of the 1989 film of the same name with Patrick Swayze. The main role in the new film was played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
He played an unsuccessful UFC fighter who finds himself unemployed on the street. He manages to get a job as a bouncer in a noisy bar in Florida, but working there is not easy: the bar is threatened by a local gang that wants to close it and build a resort on this place.
Along with Gyllenhaal, the film stars Conor McGregor, Daniela Melchior, and Billy Magnussen, and was directed by Doug Liman ("Edge of Tomorrow", "Mr. & Mrs. Smith"). He recently stated that he considers "Road House" to be his best work.
However, Liman is going to boycott the film's world premiere at SXSW due to the fact that MGM Studios, the Amazon distributor, broke its promise to release the action film and is going to show it directly on the Prime Video streaming service.
The film will premiere on March 21.
