Dev Patel's bloody vigilante: The trailer of the action movie "Monkey Man" has been released
Universal Studios has released the trailer of the new action movie "Monkey Man" — the directorial debut of Dev Patel.
In the center of the plot of the project will be Kid, who makes a living in an underground fight club. He puts on a gorilla mask and is beaten up night after night by more popular fighters for money. However, Kid endures this for a reason: he hatches a plan to get revenge and settle scores with those who took everything from him.
The role of Kid was played by Dev Patel himself, and the movie also stars Sharlto Copley and Sobhita Dhulipala. Patel directed and co-wrote the film, and produced by Jordan Peele and his company Monkeypaw.
Initially, the film was to be released on Netflix, but Peele saw the film and realized that it deserved distribution. Monkeypaw acquired the rights to screen "Monkey Man", and the film will now appear in theaters on April 5.
