Apple TV+ has renewed the series "Hijack" for a second season

Apple TV+ has renewed thriller "Hijack" for a second season and confirmed that lead singer Idris Elba will return as negotiator Sam Nelson.

"I was floored by the overwhelming audience response after Season 1. It’s top secret what new situation unfolds for Sam Nelson, but I can assure you we will bring the high octane back!" — Elba said.

The first season of the project was about a hijacked airplane flying to London. Sam Nelson is an experienced business negotiator who must use every trick he knows to save the lives of the passengers on board, but Nelson's risky strategy could fail.

The show is being developed by "Lupin" creator George Kay and "The Wrong Mans" director Jim Field Smith. They will be joined in the second season by Elba himself, who will serve as a producer on the project.
