A new chapter will tell the story of a man who mistakenly ends up in a mental hospital.
AMC

AMC has ordered production on the third season of the supernatural anthology "The Terror", which will be based on Victor LaValle's novel "The Devil in Silver".

The new installment of the project will tell the story of Pepper, a longshoreman who is mistakenly placed in the New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital, an institution filled with people that society would rather forget about. Everyone in the hospital is against him: the patients, the doctors, and perhaps even the devil himself. Pepper soon realizes that the only way to break free is to defeat the creature that lives off the suffering within the walls of New Hyde. However, this path may prove that the worst demons live within us.

The season script will be written by Christopher Cantwell, who worked on the series "Halt and Catch Fire" and "Lodge 49", as well as Victor LaValle himself. Chapter Three will consist of six episodes, premiering next year.

The first season of "The Terror" was released in 2018 and was about a British polar expedition stranded in the ice while searching for the Northwest Passage. The second season, titled "The Terror: Infamy", was about Japanese people who were forcibly removed from America and placed in special camps.

why release a separate series if you can release it under an already well-known brand,
so everything is fine, the main thing is not to go too much into mysticism, as in the same second season, where in places there was too much

The first season was amazing, I really love it. But I don't remember the plot of the second one anymore, but the fact that there will be a third one is good news, I'll look out of curiosity.

Thank you, it's very convenient - no need to search and collect heaps of links both on the Internet and here, the film adaptation of worthy novels under one name

It would be better if they filmed the story of how some greedy people made a tolerable series based on one of the best books of the two thousandth years, and then under this brand they got into the habit of stamping slag for the sake of profit. In the plot... horror and horror.

The first season was great, I couldn't master the second, I didn't suffer, I don't give a fuck to shoot meaningless sequels if the name itself speaks about the ship Terror, but they show us don't understand what. I actually like to watch about mental hospitals, but I still don't know if I will, I'll think about it.

Oh, how reminiscent of the description of the second season of AIU, even Pepper is available... In general, something interesting may well come out.

I will never understand this logic when new seasons are molded to the series, which shows the adaptation of a particular work, which in no way relate to the story about "Terror" and "Erebus". Combining everything with mysticism is a dubious decision. Well, or they would have called it differently: "An Anthology of mysticism", "A series in which we will shove everything we want", "Terror and a hundred thousand other film adaptations".

How disappointing was the second season. After the masterpiece of the first one, it landed hard

An interesting idea with an anthology, but not always a good one. At least the second season loses a lot against the background of the first one, having rolled into too much of a mess of mysticism. Let's see what happens in the third

The first season was the most interesting and atmospheric. I read the book after him and now it's one of my favorites. And a pleasant surprise was that this story is based on real events. I couldn't finish watching the second season, it didn't work at all.

The second season was barely mastered. The first one was very good.Hopefully, there won't be too much mystique like in the second season.
