Netflix has renewed the series "Berlin" for a second season

Filming on the new episodes of the "Money Heist" spin-off will begin next year.

Netflix has renewed the series "Berlin" — a spin-off of the Spanish hit "Money Heist" — for a second season. In the announcement, the streaming service showed a new photo of the project's cast, and also announced that filming of the sequel will begin in 2025.

"Berlin" ranks as the ninth most-watched non-English series in Netflix history. Within the first week of its premiere, "Berlin" entered the platform's top 10 in 91 countries and has since remained in the top 10 non-English-language projects for seven consecutive weeks. The show has racked up 348 million hours of viewing time.

The plot of the series unfolds before the events shown in "Money Heist". The series tells about Berlin (again played by Pedro Alonso), who plans a daring robbery: he wants to steal jewelry worth € 44 million. To do this, he asks for help from one of the gangs with which he once collaborated.

It's strange to see that I didn't like the series, I watched it in one breath! The humor is excellent, the robbery is not any kind, but thought out to the smallest detail, the characters are perfectly matched, so why are the reviews like this? Amorous affairs in moderation, I disagree, the robbery does not last a couple of minutes, the whole series is dedicated to this!
And yes, to the news, I'm really looking forward to the second season, Berlin is a very charming man, as is his team 🔥

Yes, the series itself is not bad, but perhaps it is subconsciously associated with the Paper House, which I personally liked much more. initially, as I started watching, I didn't go in at all, I got involved in the middle and somehow it got better. I thought it would be closed after the first one, Netflix has a very strange policy sometimes on extensions/the closures of different titles, but they were extended well..After all, " we have to steal again"

I didn't get the first season at all. Although I love romance and everything that goes with it, here it seemed as inappropriate, ridiculous and cheap as possible. And I didn't like how Berlin's character was spoiled, not to mention that literally all the minor characters somehow evoked a persistent sense of Spanish shame, which is ironic, of course.
I'll watch the second season, but in general I hoped that there would be no continuation 🤷♀️
