Netflix revealed a teaser for "Joy, a movie about the invention of IVF
Netflix released the first teaser of the movie "Joy", which will tell about the invention of the IVF procedure. The script of the project was written by Jack Thorne — the author of the series "His Dark Materials", and his wife Rachel Mason ("Circus of Books").
The picture will tell the story of the birth of Louise Joy Brown — the world's first "test tube baby", and will also show the ten-year journey that had to go through to make it possible.
At the center of the story will be a young nurse and embryologist Jean Purdy, who joined forces with scientist Robert Edwards and surgeon Patrick Steptoe to solve the mystery of infertility. They had to overcome many difficulties and obstacles, but in the end they became pioneers in the field of IVF — artificial insemination — and fulfilled the dream of millions.
The main roles in the project performed Thomasin McKenzie, James Norton, and Bill Nighy. The release date of the picture is not yet reported, but in a teaser Netflix promised that the wait for the premiere is not long.
