Apple TV+ has renewed detective drama "The Last Thing He Told Me" for a second season
Apple TV+ has renewed the series "The Last Thing He Told Me" for a second season. Although the show was originally announced as a mini-series, the project will still return with new episodes.
The detective drama is based on Laura Dave's best-selling novel of the same name and is about a woman named Hannah (Jennifer Garner). Her husband goes missing unexpectedly and leaves her a note asking her to protect his 16-year-old daughter. Hannah and her stepdaughter will have to team up to find out the truth.
The second season will be based on the sequel to Laura Dave's novel, which will be released in 2025. The plot of the sequel has not yet been revealed, but it is known that Jennifer Garner, as well as Angourie Rice and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who played Hannah's stepdaughter and husband, will return in the second season.
"The Last Thing He Told Me" is Apple TV+'s most popular mini-series. In the first month after its premiere, the show was watched by 4.5 million users of the platform, well above the ratings of the service's other mini-series: "Black Вird" drew 2.6 million viewers, the first season of "Slow Horses" drew 1.9 million, and "Echo 3" drew 1.4 million.
