"Chernobyl" director Johan Renck will adapt the novel "Caledonian Road"

Johan Renck, director of the TV series "Chernobyl", will adapt British writer Andrew O'Hagan's best-selling novel "Caledonian Road". Renck will produce and direct the upcoming project.

The novel is set in 2021 London. In the center of the plot — a famous art historian Campbell Flynn, who loves sophistication and loves to be the center of attention. Flynn has a student named Milo, whose ideas interest the teacher. But he does not yet suspect that Milo has a plan, because of which Flynn's life and privileges will be destroyed before everyone's eyes.

The script of the upcoming series will be written by Will Smith — the author of the spy drama "Slow Horses", and Andrew O'Hagan will act as an executive producer of the project. The filming start date and the cast of the show have not been revealed yet.

I hope it will be as successful a project as Chernobyl, I have already written this series to my watchlist. Or maybe there's even a reason to read a novel and compare, I've never done that, but this is a unique experience.
