Tom Hiddleston will return in the title role and Hugh Laurie will executive produce the show.
A still from the TV series "The Night Administrator".

Last year, it was revealed that the BBC and Amazon were going to produce a second season of "The Night Manager". Now Deadline is reporting that a sequel to "The Night Manager" has been given the green light, and the BBC and Amazon have already renewed the project for a third season.

Filming on the new series will begin later this year. Tom Hiddleston will return to the role of Jonathan Pine, and the action of the sequel will develop eight years after the finale of the first part. Other plot details are being kept secret.

The creator of the project will again be David Farr, and the star of the first season Hugh Laurie will take the post of executive producer. It is not known whether Laurie will appear in the sequel as an actor.

The first season of the series was about a former member of the British armed forces, Jonathan Pine. Demobilized, he takes a job as a night manager of a luxury hotel. It is there he is found and recruited by British intelligence officers to Pine helped to destroy a large international group specializing in arms trafficking.

@Tikhonov91: we will, as long as the break between seasons 2 and 3 is not like between 1 and 2)))

@Evangaleon: I hope they will be filmed at the same time and released one by one) after all, such actors have high employment even without it🥲

The standby mode is activated again. The main thing is that there is less break between the second and third, otherwise our grandchildren will be watching

This is news, unexpected, but pleasant! The BBC knows how to pickle fans like no one else with the expectation of new seasons. And yes, somewhere deep down-very deep down, I'm still hoping for a new season of Sherlock.

Ugh, I don't even know. The first season was a really cool, complete story. I understand that most likely the seasons will not be particularly connected, but somehow it's scary. I reviewed it not so long ago and just caught myself thinking that it was a good finished work.

I can't tell you exactly how many times I've watched this series. But after such news, it seems that we need at least one more time. I'm waiting!

I thought it was closed a hundred years ago. Although there are many familiar faces, the series turned out to be tedious. I barely watched season 1.

Despite the star cast (Loki, Dr. House, Queen Elizabeth, Lady Diana), I also found the series a little boring, especially after the book (this is an almost literal adaptation of Le Carré). They changed the intelligence chief from Leonard to Angela, who was pregnant in addition. It seems to me that the whole plot of the novel could be put into a film. And the sequel will probably have a free-flowing plot and it will be possible to disperse.

@punk: here, after all, the skill of the narrator is also important. The same "spy, get out" and in the serial format is great, and in the compressed, Alfredsonian is gorgeous. It's just the director here - not so bold, or something. The Air Force often sins with this, they take good diligent people, in the end it turns out beautifully, but a little bland
