The writer's sons acted as producers of the project.

Netflix showed a new teaser of the series "One Hundred Years of Solitude", based on the novel of the same name by Gabriel García Márquez. The project will tell the story of the Buendía family, seven generations of which live in the town of Macondo.

The series was shot in Colombia with the support of Gabriel García Márquez's sons Rodrigo and Gonzalo, who acted as executive producers of the show. Claudio Cataño, Jerónimo Barón, Marco González, Leonardo Soto, and Susana Morales played the main roles in the series.

In total, the project will be 16 episodes, which put Laura Mora Ortega ("Pablo Escobar: El Patrón del Mal") and Alex Garcia Lopez ("Cowboy Bebop"). The series will premiere later this year, but an exact date has not yet been revealed.

It's a pity that it wasn't filmed 11 years earlier, when the novel "One Hundred Years of Solitude" came across to me in the ticket for the exam on the history of foreign literature 😂 And in general it's great that they popularize the classics!

It is already clear from the trailer that this will be a failure... those false moustaches, those Isaura-style facial expressions. Yes, there is a suspicion that this TV adaptation will only spoil the work.

I'm more afraid for this book than for the others. Because: this is the #1 book for me; when I read it, I really regretted that it would never be filmed, as it is absolutely incredible, a lot of thoughts, narratives. PS: at this rate, they will get to Foucault's Pendulum (God forbid) 😂

The most beloved book! According to the trailer, it is still unclear from the word at all how good the film adaptation of such a complex novel will turn out, but I hold my fists for it.

This project is alive!
I do not believe that they will be able to adequately film my favorite book.. Not only because books are always better, but because the material itself seems difficult to adapt when reading
And then there's Netflix..
But I'll still see how they try!

I perceive film adaptations as inspired by the work, and even close to the text - it's always someone's interpretation. Let's see!

My favorite book ❤️
I hope the film adaptation will still be good and watchable))
When I watched the new film On the Western Front without changes, I was very disappointed((
Of course, books are hard to beat, but sometimes such nonsense is removed🫤

My favorite book!!! I even wonder how they will be able to convey the magic of Marquez, the main thing is not to reread before watching 😅
