Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, and Ralph Fiennes have joined the cast of the horror film "28 Years Later", the sequel to horror director Danny Boyle's "28 Days Later".

Boyle will direct the new picture, which will launch a trilogy. "28 Years Later" will continue the story of the original movie, which was released in 2002. The tape was about a bicycle courier Jim (played by Cillian Murphy), who comes out of a long coma and discovers that Britain has been hit by a highly contagious virus that causes aggression. A sequel, "28 Weeks Later", from director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, was released in 2007.

Production of the trilogy is being handled by Sony Pictures. The studio plans to shoot the second part of the trilogy immediately after the first. It is already known that the director of the sequel will be Nia DaCosta ("Candyman"), and Boyle will take the post of producer. The script of all parts will be written by Alex Garland — the author of the original movie "28 Days Later".

Отличная новость! "28 дней спустя" и "28 недель спустя" - одни из лучших фильмов в жанре зомби-хоррор. А то, что за сценарии трилогии возьмётся Алекс Гарленд - в некоторой степени залог удачного исхода.

Let's take a note. Aaron performed well in the movie "Faster than a Bullet" (based on the book "Train of Assassins"). We will wait 😁

@Shesticvetik: and why the question? Everything seems to be written in the post.
There is a movie "28 days later"
And its sequel "28 weeks later"

And now we have finally started working on "28 years later". Moreover, they are planning several more films, after that

P. S. But " 28 months later" apparently it's not worth waiting any more :D

How I missed the zombie theme, nothing worthwhile has come out for a hundred years.
And only recently I've been reviewing for 28 days and 28 weeks. The news is just wonderful!
