Description
Disillusioned with life in the city, feeling out of place in suburbia, and frustrated that her happily ever after hasn’t been so easy to find, Giselle turns to the magic of Andalasia for help. Accidentally transforming the entire town into a real-life fairy tale and placing her family’s future happiness in jeopardy, she must race against time to reverse the spell and determine what happily ever after truly means to her and her family.
Понравилось, как легко у Адамс выходит раздвоение личности, талант не продиснеишь. И немного взгрустнуло за девочку, что играла дочку в первом фильме. Здесь она снялась лишь в эпизоде, а на главную роль взяли другую актрису. Nothing but business, but still sad
Начало схватки героинь - прям битва Волан де Морта и Гарри Поттера, не меньше)))))))
Personally, I didn't feel the old chemistry between Robert and Giselle. I understand that they have been together for many years, they are married and have children, but in the first part there was such an emphasis on their love, their relationship felt very touching, and then everything drifted away, leaving only a couple of sweet moments (even between Edward and Giselle in their first scenes there was much more attraction). Robert actually spent most of the film somewhere on the periphery, his line could have been cut out safely, and nothing would have changed from that. And yet, I was waiting for the "beautiful kiss of love", which will help destroy the magic, but alas…
Many of the plot moves were clearly inspired simply by the need to come up with lines, and this caught the eye. Why are Giselle and Robert having a baby just now? (It is clear that there is a conflict between Morgan and Giselle, but they have been together for so many years ...).
The creators clearly wanted to shift the focus to the relationship between Giselle and Morgan, but it seems as if this story was not put the squeeze on. Either they didn't show enough reasons why Morgan was so distant and why she began to consider Giselle a stepmother (after all, they have been considered a family for so many years, and it would seem that this stage should have passed long ago).
For so many years, Giselle has not fully adapted to the real world, what can she start singing in the middle of a crowded street? (Again, it's understandable that the move is for Morgan's embarrassment and viewer nostalgia).
Why don't Nancy and Edward have children? (By the way, they were shown very harmoniously in this part).
In general, I have reviewed the first part, and I will review it many more times, but this one is unlikely, but it is suitable for a one-time immersion in the atmosphere of the world of my favorite characters 😌
P.S. Thanks for the references to other Disney projects and the first film, it was funny to notice them.
And the scene with the threat in the form of a sleeping Morgan looked somehow strained. If Giselle had made a wish to return everything, Morgan would still be alive... but we need drama and sensual conversation.
Of course, maybe I'm looking for logic where it shouldn't be, but in the first movie it was more improbable)
