Every movie I watched with him was a masterpiece for me. How he fits into the role! And here it turned out to be a very touching character.

It's absolutely clear that this is one of Johnny Depp's best roles. he appears completely different in every frame. his role is laconic, so facial expressions play a huge role. despite his gloomy appearance, he is very charming and sweet, radiates sincerity. the conflict is that many perceive the image visually, not everyone is able to see something bright behind this gloomy picture of the image.
the main trick of the director is to play on contrasts. on one side there are pastel houses and green lawns, on the other -a gray castle with cobwebs in the corners.

the plot for today is predictable and simple, but for that time the fire. more.. what kind of presentation, makeup, colors, acting and Johnny separately, fabulous music with notes of mystery and sadness

I've been putting off watching this movie for a very long time. I was sure I wouldn't like it, but I'm thrilled. It's one of my favorite movies now. Sometimes funny, sometimes gloomy, but mostly touching. I like the image of Edward. He is so naive, kind and loving. And I am so sorry that others did not understand him. I foolishly believed in a happy ending for him.
