I went to the cinema, I didn't expect anything particularly interesting.
Mario games were one of my favorites in my childhood, so just for the sake of interest I decided to take a look. The animation is good, the detail is nothing and the musical accompaniment is good, but the plot is quite banal: a princess, a villain who wants power and marries this princess, etc., somewhat resembles the first part of Shrek.
What I liked was that despite the fact that no one took the Mario Brothers seriously, they did not give up and continued to work, it means a lot.
What moral have I learned? The banal one, that good overcomes evil, you need to fight and not give up when you go to the goal. But the main thing is that it exists at all and is visible to the naked eye

Otherwise, there are few such simple plots in the cinema, and now there are just not enough of them. This is what the film's collections show, as well as the sales and inexhaustible popularity of Mario and Zelda games, where the whole plot is in damsel in distress. The whole family was waiting for Sasha, and they still sold us the continuation of the cartoon!
If someone needs a Pixar philosophy, Luma does a good job here!

I have two opinions about the cartoon.
On the one hand, the graphics are great, lots of references, and respect for the original. Although it was made purely at the request of Nintendo, but most likely exactly the way they wanted.
On the other hand, only children under 10 and their parents will like it if they understand the references. If they don't understand, then the plot is too simple, everything is overloaded with effects, there is almost nothing funny. But they will still go to the cinema with the children, so they will deposit their money and be happy that the children liked it.
The cartoon is not bad, but it is recommended only to fans.
