Description
When the plots of reclusive author Elly Conway's fictional espionage novels begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past. Accompanied by her cat Alfie and Aiden, a cat-allergic spy, Elly races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Conway's fictional world and her real one begins to blur.
It is not worth looking for drama and the great message of the director in the plot. It's just a beautifully shot spy comedy for an easy time in the company of friends
Before that, I heard in a blogger's review about the new film distribution how he scolded this film. Therefore, I didn't really want to watch it, but there was no alternative, so I went.
And how glad I am that I was wrong. The film is a cannon, light, comedic, a real example of meta-irony, banter over spy cliches.
Moreover, the film even begins like this: they show a cliched cliche... A handsome, statuesque super agent like James Bond, a beautiful sexy villainess, here they are dancing in the spirit of True lies, and now the super spy has been revealed, but as superman he easily deals with villains and already grabs the heads of the villainess....
I've been watching these 7 minutes on the screen and, to put it mildly, I'm freaking out. How in such a short scene the most cliched cliches about super agents have already been collected, and then it turns out that this is the fantasy of the writer, pam pam pam! And what is seen on the screen is a visualization of her novel.
And it's really cool! The facepalm is replaced by a smile.
I really liked the film, the actors are cool, the plot is interesting. Yes, there are a lot of twists, there are a lot of cliches, but damn it looks so fun and funny. Welcome to the post-modern era 🥂
I recommend watching it. But do not tune in to a serious movie like Bond or mission, just turn off logic and enjoy the ironic and absurd situations into which the characters are thrown
Chromakey suffers terribly, especially with scenes with a cat, but 2 hours passed quickly there
But, imho, Bryce does not like this dress categorically😅
And now he's taking this off.
It's even kind of unclear where to start, I'll start with the obvious. The joke about the cow on the ice is not funny. It should be told, not visualized, otherwise it makes you feel sick. On the other hand, the joke about Steve Jobs (who for some reason turns into Gates in the final) is still as funny as the first time, but didn't they start repeating it too often?
It's amazing, but the film is technically broken. And not even about these absurd dancing with grenades. You will watch the episode in which Brian <what am I doing here> Cranston shoots his deputy. There is also a defective gluing just before the shot. Damn, there is no such hack in Russian cinema. And there is plenty of such a marriage.
These actors. Why is Jackson playing something deeply personal at Vaughn's again? And what is it anyway? Senility? Heavy drugs? The main characters behave as if they don't always understand where they are and why. Rockwell is also not trying hard. Howard is cute and even pulls out some scenes, but she can't pull out all of them.
An absolutely unnecessary love line, a complete lack of chemistry between the actors.
The plot is tricked out of Remembering everything. What for?
And after all, everything starts well, they play a game with the viewer, delaying the blurring of the boundary between illusion and reality. And then they take it all and ruin it and instead the plot begins to be pulled out of ...
This is probably the most insulting thing, in the first half hour there was hope for something cool. It's funny that the film apparently failed almost because of the same thing, because of the deceived audience expectations, they were sold a spy thriller with Cavil, and they got Howard dancing. And honestly, 5.8 is too high an estimate for that.
Dancing, a rabid cat, figure skating on oil and Henry Kevill with a hairstyle from the 80s is just genius!
I'm really looking forward to continuing! It's just not very clear if Argyle is a Kingsman spy or not, in fact, as we found out the books are based on reality, so this Argyle could be a relative😲
-so, but I liked it) it was especially cool to see Sam Rockwell)
Maybe I'll even review it a couple of times, because sometimes I want something so easy for a movie night
It feels like there was a scene before the shooting, like in that meme.:
- Hey, Matthew, let's get together and shoot a parody of spy thrillers with references to Kaufman and spectacular battle scenes, well, that's how you do it.
- Yes, no problem, I already have such a scenario at home
The scenario at home: ...
The direct secondary of the secondary to Kingsman, also directly tied to him for some reason. You can count on the fingers of one hand the moments where there really was a claim to a good movie, but it turned out to be some kind of parody of ourselves.
Matthew, didn't you have enough time? Maybe someone was in the way? Maybe you didn't have anything to do with it at all and it wasn't meant to be that way? Is this someone's joke?
Until recently, I hoped that the reviews and rating were not justified, which is worth a look.. It wasn't worth it, it's really a pity for the time spent
