Description
D'Artagnan, on a quest to rescue the abducted Constance, runs into the mysterious Milady de Winter again. The tension between the Catholics and the Protestants finally escalates, as the king declares war — forcing the now four musketeers into battle. But as the war goes on, they are tested physically, mentally and emotionally.
I don't even know what to say about the film itself. He's kind of half-baked or something. In the end, a little bit of Musketeer enthusiasm appeared, except that. Constance's death was somehow incomprehensible. Did she die of something in the end? Anyway, since they had moved so far away from the plot of the book, they could have left Constance alive, otherwise Buckingham, for whom everything was started, remained alive. It's not that I admire this Constance so much, she's generally kind of vague, but at least D'Artagnan would be happy.
What else cut: a close-up of D'Artagnan's manicured hands; He, walking easily through the park with Anna of Austria; Constance, a seamstress, a commoner in fact, sitting at the same table and easily chatting with the Duke of Buckingham; Athos's son's name is not Raoul, although the bookish Raoul was not my lady's son at all.
Oh well, adventures are adventures. It's just a pity that they are moving away from the original more and more.
