Description
An LA girl, unlucky in love, falls for an East Coast guy on a dating app and decides to surprise him for Christmas, only to discover that she's been catfished. But the object of her affection actually lives in the same town, and the guy who duped her offers to set them up if she pretends to be his own girlfriend for the holidays.
It is a pity that when translating the name into Russian, it was not possible, in fact, to convey a reference to the Nut (Love Hard - Die hard)
Love is about comfort, first of all. The main characters suited each other in communication, which laid the foundation for friendship, and the actions of the boy helped the girl to see her partner in him - an understanding, humorous, sensitive person. Well, these are my views, as for me, it's cool when they show this (although I understand that this is not the idea of the screenwriters, but the blunder of the actors).
And it's also great that an actor was chosen for the main role, who does not look like a model with a pumped-up body, in which, for unknown reasons, the heroine cannot fall in love, but really an ordinary, average guy.
Nina is such a beautiful girl and just a wonderful actress. I've loved her immensely since the Vampire Diaries.
Of course, love hard does not claim to be the best romantic comedy in history, it most likely will not leave a deep impression on the viewer for many years to come...however, it will perfectly brighten up the evening and give you a certain mood. I agree with the comments that there is no special chemistry between GG, I also imagine them more as best friends, but love is not always about mind-blowing passion, often true love is about comfort, warmth, mutual interests, understanding and acceptance. As it turned out for the main characters.
I would like to mention the beautiful landscapes of the first half of the film. Just a sight to behold!
In general, the film is successful for me, not a bit boring (and many films shot in the last 2-3 years suffer from this, which is impossible to watch), and very, very cute! Oh, and Grandma is cool there)
It turned out to have a special, pleasant atmosphere…
And I like that despite all the lightness of this film, deeper themes are also touched upon - the value of family, the search and acceptance of one's own self, etc.
