Description
Set in a 19th-century European village, this stop-motion animation feature follows the story of Victor, a young man whisked away to the underworld and wed to a mysterious corpse bride, while his real bride Victoria waits bereft in the land of the living.
Tim Burton is always in the heart!
I recommend it to everyone. 💚
The drawing is wonderful!
charming to death puppet theater in cemetery decorations, another masterpiece by Tim Burton
The coolest cartoon, the moment when Emily finds peace, is just a masterpiece.
A wonderful classic 💔
- Show me.
Wait a minute... It's not him!
- what?
- The body... This is not Vesta's corpse!
Let's not joke about necrophilia. I'd rather note the good and sad story of the intertwining of the world of the living and the dead. The whole cartoon is based on the atmosphere. Well, on the songs, I've already come to terms with them. To be fair, the songs here are not bad.
As for the characters, everything is in its place here too. Although I have not come to a conclusion who is more suitable for our Victor. Surprisingly, he spent more screen time with the deceased than with Victoria. And in the end I stayed with the last one. Although I never felt where their love flared up there. When did he play the piano? In fact, Victoria fell in love with Victor because he was imposed on her, and plus he's not a freak. Is it love? Although the relationship with the dead is also not normal.
Another thing in the piggy bank of this cartoon is that it was not stretched. They showed exactly one story, without any minor inserts. Respect for that.
I will not shout into the mouthpiece that I recommend everyone to watch this cartoon. But if you get such an opportunity, do not refuse, take a look. And although this is all fiction, but do not put wedding rings on the branches of driftwood that resemble women's fingers. You never know what... 💍
