Full Metal Jacket (1987)

This is probably one of the best anti-war films. Just watch.

Kubrick is a genius. I think he could make a brilliant film on any topic.
Not everyone can achieve such dedication from actors.
Leonard's gaze was scarier to me than watching any horror movie.
And his films are timeless. They don't look like they were shot in the eighties. If I had been told that this film was shot recently, I could have believed it. The same applies to the space odyssey.

The beginning is great, as the commander fucked them in all sorts of different ways, the actor played his role perfectly, considering that in the past he was an instructor

In fact, the film consists of two parts: the tutorial and the war. But it is the study in its entirety that brings the most emotions, whereas in terms of the war, with its episodicity, everything looks standard.

Americans position each of their citizens involved in the conflict as a hero, but judging by this film, these are broken, morally destroyed individuals. I also wondered during my studies how these guys would live their normal lives from now on. What will happen to them when "Vietnam" ends? They're trained to kill!...

And the final scene, on the one hand, is a kind of "island" of hope that not all the guys have become a soulless killing machine, someone still has compassion left. After all, the joker, unlike the animal, hesitated - to leave the girl or to leave, to shoot her so that she would not be studied or to leave like that?... On the other hand, killing for good is also murder.

In general, it's a very difficult film. To watch it, you need to be mentally prepared, and not turn it on, because "there is nothing more to watch."
