The whole horror lies in the fact that the film is still relevant and will remain so for a long time. And it's definitely a masterpiece.
Yes, undoubtedly, what happened in the film is not a funny situation at all, but an adequate adult will understand - Kubrick shows that nuclear war cannot be rational — it is born out of mistakes, paranoia and thoughtless automation.
And how relevant is this film now, in the era of AI development, showing that if weapons become "independent", humanity loses the right to make mistakes.
And I would also like to mention the excellent acting of the cast! This is probably the rarest film where every actor has played his character perfectly. 🫶🏻
I also really liked the picture itself, the shadow play is a great move!
