Description
Jules is a drag artist in London who withdraws into himself and loses his career after a horrific attack. Months later, he recognizes one of his assailants in a gay sauna and quickly realizes he has the perfect opportunity to get revenge.
But still, the main message is probably that revenge leads nowhere except to another cycle of violence. Mb Preston would have come across some other brave guy who would have broken through his shields and mb they did (although of course you wouldn't wish anyone to fall in love with such a person), but here it seems to me that's it, it's unlikely he will ever be able to make such a gesture of trust. And he's an aggressive asshole who deserves to be punished for what he did, but I don't know if heartbreak is the right kind of punishment and whether it will benefit someone. It seems to me that even Jules himself is not very happy with the accomplished revenge in the end. On the other hand, the overthrow of the object of fear allowed him to fight back, both psychologically during these months and physiologically in their final fight.
In short, I wish more than ever that there was less hate in the world and that love brought people only happiness.
