Overview
Los Angeles, 1928. When single mother Christine Collins leaves for work, her son vanishes without a trace. Five months later, the police reunite mother and son. But when Christine suspects that the boy returned to her isn't her child, her quest for truth exposes a world of corruption.

15 years have passed, and I still can't bring myself to watch it a second time.
Jolie, as always, is on top. So convey every emotion...💔
Despite the fact that the film runs for more than 2 hours, it is interesting to follow the development of the story. An original and dramatic script. A dark story that reveals the behavior of a desperate man in an almost desperate situation.
The cameraman's work in the film is excellent. A lot of close-ups give the viewer a deeper insight into the heroine's experiences. Smooth transitions and successful angle changes can't help but delight the eye.
This is not an entertaining movie to which you can "crunch" popcorn. This movie will make you feel and think.
Jolie's game is as good as ever, it gives me goosebumps how she played here. I'm
also scared by the fact that it's all based on real events... I wouldn't wish that on anyone. 💔
The most striking thing was not even the disappearance of the child, but the action of the police. Soulless assholes who are ready to do anything to hide their failure and close the case as soon as possible. Substitute the child and put the mother in a mental hospital so that everyone doesn't find out the truth...I can't imagine how fucked up you have to be to do that, but only men are truly capable of it. It's even worse to realize that it was all in real life.
I am very glad that in the end justice prevailed and she had support, together they were able to get punishment for the police. If they had performed their duties instead of wasting time bullying their mother, then perhaps the boy would still be alive.
Jolie was great, it was like she lived it all by herself. 👏
