The film is about an infantile man and a woman who wanted to be loved. Brad is not ready to solve problems on his own and somehow participate in the life of his family, he does not notice that it is difficult for his wife to provide for the family, instead of somehow studying or looking for an appeal that he likes, he prefers to look at teenagers on a skateboard and cherish dreams of how he is It could have been. Even when he was already running to Sarah, he was easily distracted by teenagers again, because making such a difficult decision and really taking responsibility for his actions is too much for him. After first meeting Sarah, he did not look for a meeting himself, but just waited for her to come by herself. The impression of him is, of course, very unpleasant.
Sarah, in turn, just wants to be loved, her daughter sometimes behaves quite rudely, rarely showing affection for her mother, being more capricious, her husband spends all his free time on a site with candid photos. For all the screen time, we have not seen a single episode when Sarah and her husband spent time together, so it is not surprising that the first manifestation of attention to her person, and quite unexpected (a kiss) makes her feel sympathy for this man.
Sarah is sincerely sorry, I hope she will be able to recover and change her life for the better.
Ronnie and Larry are also quite interesting characters. Ronnie is aware of his problem, blames himself for his deviations, Larry is just trying to forget himself in his hatred and aggression, he does not know where to put himself, he really wants to get recognition, but neither in his personal life, nor in sports, nor in his committee, he does not find it. I feel sorry for Grandma

Connelly is beautiful, of course, but for me personally it sounds amazing when Kate Winslet is exposed as plain against her background. I take it this is because she is inferior to beauty standards. And I'm glad that she's never shy about her body, she always shows that it's not necessary to be a slim model. I love Winslet, her every appearance in the frame is a joy to the eyes.

As for the film itself, the comment above has already fully described all my thoughts, thank you😊

The plot is so primitive that two hours of my life were wasted.

The whole movie is really weird. They were lovers literally in front of everyone, constantly going to the pool together, kissing on the playground in front of other moms and their own children, not thinking about how their behavior affects others.

It ended sadly. But only for Sarah. Because she's not really happily married. There was hope that she, Brad, and the children would leave and be happy together. It turned out that Brad got into this relationship out of boredom and easily abandoned them. But why did he suggest running away and instill this idea in Sarah?

I honestly don't understand why they added a line with a maniac to this movie. Sarah's pity for him is generally the strangest thing in this movie. Yes, she's lonely. However, it is extremely irresponsible to risk your child's safety just to feel good, "better than those angry moms on the playground."
