Description
Ruthless silver miner, turned oil prospector, Daniel Plainview, moves to oil-rich California. Using his son to project a trustworthy, family-man image, Plainview cons local landowners into selling him their valuable properties for a pittance. However, local preacher Eli Sunday suspects Plainview's motives and intentions, starting a slow-burning feud that threatens both their lives.
A wonderful picture, a wonderful movie, the wonderful and great Daniel Day-Lewis and the charismatic Paul Dano. I recommend it!
The film is great, maybe it will seem long for someone, but otherwise everything is at the highest level
The most beautiful game of actors and unrealistically beautiful locations.
(" And there will be blood") - so it is, first oil, then blood.
Paul Thomas Anderson is a great director.
Daniel Day-Lewis plays like a god!
I'm even a little ashamed that I didn't watch this masterpiece earlier.
I'd rather reread the Ross book again than watch the Plainview movie again.
