Cold Storage (2026)

It's a good, rustic movie for the evening with a plot about the fact that you can't keep trouble waiting. It reminded me of the simple fantasy action movies of the 80s.

Watch out for the spoiler! A film about stupid people who believe in themselves: let's take a fungus capable of controlling insect behavior into space for experiments - what can go wrong? Yes, everything that could have gone!
A one-time movie for fans of the genre (infection / zombies), spend a pleasant evening with friends or alone with a mug of something hot - laugh, or maybe be impressed by the scale of the tragedy of human stupidity and the fact that the "system" does not work!
Overall (for me personally) the film is above average.

And, of course, localization - how could the movie "Cold Storage" be called "Contagion"? Why the infection? Why not a fungus? They would have called it something like: Storage/ The receptacle (it sounds creepy)/A warehouse or even Mold would be closer than an "infection", which is more likely to be a virus or infection.

It's a great movie with a simple plot and great acting. Without pretentiousness and pathos, unnecessary special effects. Light and apolitical - it could have been shot in any year over the last 50 years.

I wonder if it will be shown in Russian cinemas. Something about the date is still unknown.

I liked it). Yes, it's simple, but tasteful. The stupidity of the idea of an abandoned repository of the most terrible biological weapons makes us recall Zadornov's meme phrase, and we have been accustomed to such moves for a long time. It looks easy and interesting, but what else do you need from such films? And even there were misunderstandings about the cat at first, and then they gave a good flashback. I even laughed at the Deer T-shirt (Aaron Haffernan from Naked). Joe Keary is definitely in his usual place here, although the fact that he is a felon on probation is like an Islamic terrorist cat. And the old man Liam Neeson as the old guard).

as they say, "trouble has one beginning, the woman was bored," this phrase best describes the thirst to get into where it is not necessary, our heroine Naomi. But overall, the film is not bad, with a light plot about viruses, the apocalypse, and a fungus from outer space.

The characters weren't particularly memorable, it didn't work out to get into someone here, a one-time movie if you want something like that.

What the hell did I look at

As for me, it's a very funny and light film, with wonderful actors and a simple but watchable plot. In the era of pretentious horror films, you want something in the style of old horror stories. I didn't have any expectations, I just wanted to watch it because of Joe, but in the end it was a great hour and a half. The music is good, the special effects are cheap, but they really suit the film, I liked the makeup. The actors are great, the couples of both oldies and youngsters look great. The humor went in, it was possible to raise the degree of jokes a little more, but it's not bad as it is. What to see for yourself, what to do with friends is a great choice.

It's a boring movie for this genre. One joke about covid was funny. The rest of the time is a waste of time.

A funny black comedy that ironically makes fun of various zombie movie cliches.
it looks silly and thrash, but still, as an entertaining kinzo for the evening, it worked with a bang.
I was a little annoyed at times by the unnecessary chatter, but that's how it is.

Plus, I feel inspired by this kind of trash talk from the 90s.

And Neeson is revealing himself more and more as a comedic actor. 😅

Joe Keary is great, but the movie is 3/5, something was missing a lot.

It's funny, but the AI animals reminded me of the episode in The Walking Dead. there, too, everything was sad with the drawing. It was a one-time movie, I watched it just for Joe's sake. I was expecting something better, but it'll do~

An easy, good movie. It's a sin to expect more.
To be honest, I thought they'd show a guy in a pickup truck at the end, who drove off with the cameras....Did they show you a Deer?

It's a very strange movie. It's not even weird in a good way, but in a way where you can't quite figure out what you're watching right now. It's not trying to be serious horror, it's not trying to be thrash, it's not trying to be comedy. It's like he's not trying to believe in anything at all. It just exists.

And that's why the movie feels so empty. Usually, even a bad movie at least evokes emotions — you can laugh with trash, laugh with stupidity, be blown away by the atmosphere, or at least scream with a cringe. But there's nothing here. It's just a set of scenes that go one after the other.

The most annoying thing is the behavior of the heroes. Especially in the bunker situation. This is not a case of characters doing stupid things out of desperation. No. They just go where a normal person would not go under any circumstances. And the film doesn't even try to explain it properly. Because of this, you don't worry about the characters, but just sit with your face: "Come on, do some more stupid shit."

Gazman is generally a separate topic. It feels like the character completely lacks the instinct of self-preservation. You can beckon him with your finger and he's already coming. Everything looks suspicious, people are behaving strangely, the situation is as murky as possible, but he continues to be dumb as if he were an NPC from an old cheap game.

And the problem is not even that the movie is bad. The problem is that there's nothing left after it. No atmosphere, no fear, no normal scenes to remember. You just watch an hour and a half of some kind of incomprehensible gray mass, and then the credits turn on and the only thought in your head is: "Well... that was total bullshit."

If we're going to shoot this, we need more humor, preferably black. As a result, it turned out poorly.
