There is almost no plot in the film, except for the event- the transfer of gg to another camp. Just the usual daily chores: cleaning, socializing and playing with children.
Scenes of violence are not shown, sometimes we hear only sounds of this nature.
But it is through the sound that we are plunged headlong into what is happening outside the walls of this house. Yes, you read in the annotation that the house stands right next to the concentration camp. This movie needs to be seen.
"Ivy will cover this wall"
It seems to me that this is exactly what they wanted to show, that no one pays attention to what is happening behind the wall, and those who live in the immediate vicinity and the rest of the residents of the city.
It's just like their movie. The superiority of the Germans over others in those days.
It's a garden of Eden," she says, with gunshots and screams in the background. - Yes, the Jews are behind the wall, ay, let's plant more vines, it will cover this wall. That's the deal!
A mother raising children in her heavenly place, which she previously allegedly could only dream of, is absolutely not embarrassed that
a real hell has opened up behind the wall of her plot!
I agree with the commentator above that I would be interested to know how such a neighborhood has been imprinted on the lives of children.
It is amazing the cynicism and cruelty of how they do not consider another nation to be people, discussing how they will burn them in batches in the oven, or threatening the servants to scatter her ashes. These people have absolutely no moral standards, some kind of unhealthy denial of reality, when there is no more beautiful place for you than a house on a plot with a kindergarten next to the death camp, where your children are riding down a slide against the background of the crematorium chimney. And the mother, coming to visit her daughter, says that she has settled in well. But, apparently, he can't stand this oppressive atmosphere and leaves. It is still unknown what she wrote in her farewell letter, since her daughter decided to burn it.
In short, it is a very strong film, more than half of which is completed by our brain.
