The horror master's first directorial effort in over a decade.
Peacock has released a trailer for Suburban Screams, a new horror anthology from John Carpenter, the legendary author of "Halloween" and "The Thing".
The project explores the unspeakable evil lurking in sun-drenched streets, manicured lawns and friendly suburban neighbors. Each episode of the show will tell a horror story that actually happened, using interviews with survivors, archival footage and in-game reconstructions of events to recreate the control.
This is Carpenter's first directorial effort since 2010. He directed one of the project's six episodes in the upcoming anthology, and also wrote the music for the entire series.
The show will premiere on October 13.
