It has been revealed who will replace Justin Roiland in the seventh season of "Rick and Morty"
In early 2023, as soon as the domestic violence allegations against Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland became known, Adult Swim announced that it was ending its partnership with Roiland. From that point on, the cartoon's creators set about finding a replacement for Roiland, who had been voicing Rick and Morty.
For the first time new voices of the characters could be heard in the trailer for the seventh season, but the names of the new actors were not called. Now it has been revealed that Rick Sanchez is being voiced by Ian Cardoni ("Clear History") and Morty Smith is being voiced by Harry Belden ("Joe Pera Talks with You"). And Mr. Poopybutthole is now voiced by John Allen.
"Rick and Morty" is about Rick Sanchez, a depressed alcoholic (and part-time genius scientist) who, after two decades, begins to reconnect with his daughter Beth. But now Beth has a husband, a mumbler named Jerry, as well as a sarcastic daughter Summer and a son Morty, a frightened 14-year-old schoolboy. Together with Morty, Rick travels the universe, constantly finding himself in the most unlikely places and participating in crazy adventures.
The premiere of the next — second — series of the new season of "Rick and Morty" will be held on October 22. Recall that the series has already been renewed for another season.
