Netflix has renewed romantic drama "Sweet Magnolias" for a fourth season

The show from the producer of "Charmed" hasn't lost its popularity.
A still from "Sweet Magnolias."

Streaming service Netflix has renewed romantic drama "Sweet Magnolias" for a fourth season. The third installment premiered back in July, but Netflix delayed the announcement of the renewal due to strikes by writers and actors.

Despite the project's undying popularity — the third season debuted at number one on Netflix's global top 10 — fans were still worried that there might not be a sequel. The first and second seasons ended in cliffhangers, while the third installment, on the other hand, wrapped up the main storylines.

The series, based on the works of Sherryl Woods, is about three women from South Carolina: Maddie, Helena Decatur, and Dana Sue. They are best friends since high school, live in the small southern town of Serenity and always help each other in everything, share sorrows and joys.

The development of the new fourth season, which will also consist of ten episodes, is being handled by showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson — producer of the original "Charmed". The release date for the sequel is unknown.

If you want the series to just go slowly without worries, drama and other things, then yes 😅
Purely a series not to take a break from dynamic projects

The phrase in the news "show from the producer " somehow sharply discourages the desire to watch any series about which they write so. Even if he's cool.

There are female producers, there are female doctors, managers, managers, etc. Experts in their field, in general. But producers, doctors, managers of others like them... I want to avoid it.

And I also want to support a sexist portal with a ruble (which highlights certain sexual characteristics, not professionalism) less and less

@camrt: I'm still a vuman) And it is as a woman that I do not think that gender should influence anything. Equality, equality, hens producer is a person of any gender. The Russian language is so arranged that the ending " masculine " (or neuter) is not a gender index. This is a stupid initial form, neutral, historically formed and long passed.
And this is a twist of words to emphasize that there is someone between the legs - a manifestation of sexism.

@Da6kaz: Do you really think that the phrase "is a show from a female producer of Charmed"
sounds better than "from the producer of Enchanted "?
And, for example " what delicious dishes were prepared for us, thanks to the female chef!", or "I like reading the posts of this female blogger so much" - Just super-it sounds euphonious and absolutely not sexist when you have to specify a special word "woman" some profession) Because, let's face it, if they tell you "we ordered a cake from an amazing pastry chef" - you will most likely think that "an amazing professional pastry chef" is a man :D

And phrases like "this show from S. J. Anderson - the producer of Charmed" - just wouldn't give an idea that the show was produced by a woman. And sometimes I would like to know such things, just to understand that in some professions not everything is done by men. Plus, the serial product from women sometimes still differs from the male one.

Yes, I agree that "-ka" added to all the words in a row so far does not sound very good, and sometimes annoying. But what to do.

What to do? Nothing. You won't force neologisms in and you won't sell them in any way. And for many it causes (will cause) disgust. And first of all in women.

@albinka_: what difference does it make, producer (medic, developer, but at least someone crochets) "male or female?" Why specify? Why does it matter so much to you, are you sure that there is a difference in the quality of work between them and you need to treat them differently?
Or do you not know without an indication that there are women in all professions and there are very successful and well-known? This is exactly what sexism is

@Da6kaz: Yes, you know, the words "actress" are used for something, not "female actor", in order to make it clearer, and not to emphasize the gender difference. Or "a teacher ", and not " a female teacher ", it all happened historically, because women were represented in these professions as well as men. But there was no access to many others, so there was no need to invent a separate word for them. And this also works in the opposite direction, for example, there is no male version of the profession "laundress", because there were no men there, why should he give his own term or "seamstress " - also sound strange and not on the ear, but the seamstress is everyone accepted profession. Yes, there is an analog "tailor" - but this is a slightly different area in which there is a place for "dressmakers ".
All this has absolutely nothing to do with professionalism - these are historical realities in which the language and terms were formed, and the language adapts to the realities over time and can change.
I repeat once again, I myself do not like how feminitives sound, simply because it is unusual to the ear and it seems silly to hear this constant addition, but if some woman says that she is the author of articles, and not the author, this is her right to represent herself so, giving a name to his place in the profession. And in 30 years, perhaps it will be just as ordinary and not cause outrage to anyone except grandfathers and grandmothers like you, because everyone will use these words, along with "hairdresser", "saleswoman " and "an athlete" (which for some reason are being used now on easy and do not raise questions, probably to infringe on the sexism of female sellers)

I agree that professionalism cannot be differentiated by gender and, when applying for a job, it is correct to select blindly regardless of gender. But in everyday situations, it is often desirable to know the gender of the person with whom you will interact. The same example with the pastry chef: "this cake was made by an awesome pastry chef", "wow, cool, give his contact", "ok, I'll give HER contact, it's a woman" - such explanations are just nonsense some kind that could have been avoided, whether for "confectionery" its own term.
And if your man says "I went to the coach for 3 hours, don't wait for dinner ", in this case you would like to know if it's a man or a woman after all?
Or when they say "Expect a doctor to come to you", a woman doctor" and some assistant nurse arrives, and as a result, a person can turn to a nurse, thinking that it is he "doctor ", ignoring a woman who will be uncomfortable - this, by the way, is the most frequent case. And you can watch him both in movies and in life, when they turn to a male assistant, thinking that he is the main pro in this pair, and the woman is just a secretary, assistant, etc.

I can give you a hundred such examples: "the director of our partner company has a birthday, you need to make a gift ". No one knows the gender, because everyone says "director", they have never seen it live before. What will you give? How professional this director is - in this case, clearly a fuck.

In general, feminitives do not call for treating professorals differently (this is called for by the haters of feminitives, because "the doctor" is clearly worse than the doctor, "the director" is clearly " stupider than the director, and why? just because it's a "feminine" word? or is that why it sounds unusual?), they only help to better understand the situation in some things.

if this is a misrepresentation of words, then do not use the word "woman" in your speech, firstly, and secondly, read in Google what sexism is, sexism has a gender, and it is female.
