FX Channel has renewed the dramedy "The Bear" for a third season. The behind-the-scenes story about a restaurant and its staff from creator Christopher Storer ("Ramy") will return in 2024, but no exact date has been announced yet.
The lead role in the show is played by Jeremy Allen White. He plays a young chef, Carmy Bersatto, who returns to his native Chicago to run his family's diner. Carmy is away from the world he's used to and has to cope with challenges previously unfamiliar to him: the harsh realities of small business ownership, an unruly staff, and family complications.
The first season of "The Bear" received 13 Emmy nominations, including the show's bid for the statuette in the Best Comedy Series category. We will be able to find out whether the project won or not in January 2024.
