"Remember who you are": Netflix revealed a teaser for "Avatar: The Last Airbender"
Netflix has released the debut teaser of the animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" — a remake of the anime of the same nam. In the video, the streaming service showed new footage of the project, and also announced the release date — February 22. The first season will have eight episodes.
The series will tell about the world in which once peacefully coexisted four people: Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. Harmony between them was maintained by an avatar — the lord of all four elements. But everything changed when the Fire Nation started a war and destroyed the Air Nomads.
At the center of the story will be Aang Air Nomads avatar and airbender, who returns to the world devastated by war. Together with his new friends Sokka and Katara, he embarks on an exciting journey to take his place as the next avatar and stop the war.
The project is being showrun by Albert Kim ("Pantheon", "Nikita"), and starring Gordon Cormier, Daniel Dae Kim, Paul Lee, and Tamlyn Tomita.

(Так вроде всё прилично выглядит, только Зуко какой-то шкнявый.)
It seems to me that it was necessary to make the characters in the series a little more mature
I'm waiting for dragons and a man with cabbage)
It looks very cool, expensive, the caste is almost one-on-one similar to the heroes of the animated series)
I really hope that the plot will not fail, otherwise it will be a complete failure)
But in motion, everyone looks good. Except Zuko, he's right past me..
And Kyoshi Girls <zzzzz
I agree, they can screw up easily, but then you don't know how not to take it. Well, the plot probably comes out one in one. And minor discrepancies overshadow this.
I would not look at what you have named either in the original or in the form of a remake. I'm not interested in it in any form. As well as the Avatar. I'm not waiting for the series and I'm not in a hurry to watch the cartoon, although I plan to watch it in due time. No one will watch anything without interest.
We may have had a discussion, but any discussion is nothing more than an exchange of opinions. Everyone always stays with their own.
In addition, not everyone is really ready to watch the animated series, due to the fact that it is a cartoon or because there are already 63 episodes - such a number of episodes can scare away.
I am quite sure that the beginning of the first season of the cartoon may scare off a more adult audience.
To adapt the first season a little more adult, as for me, it is simply necessary. Especially for a wider audience, and fans of the cartoon have already added years.
I don't know what it's going to be like here, I love the Avatar and I'm also worried that they might screw it up. Here I rather answered a person who is against any reinterpretations and adaptations, because fuck if there is an original... If it gets bad, you can just go back to the original. The original death note didn't get any worse because of a few shitty movies)
In the case of an Avatar (cartoon), the bar is high initially, adaptation can be screwed up on absolutely all fronts. Not hyping yourself about this, as for me, is the right decision. But I won't say that it can't be better with live actors either. Live action has its advantages, drawing has its advantages. Both versions can exist harmoniously if there were the right people at the helm. Judging by how adamant he is in his opinion, it's easier to leave him alone than to change his mind (:
As it is, I am already tired of the constant reboots, remakes and crooked sequels.
"Rethinking " with real actors can give a fresh look, but one can only hope that the magic of the source material will be preserved. Alas, I didn't feel this magic in the trailer, and I didn't even find something to feed hope with.
Genres: action, adventure, fantasy, but what about comedy drama?🤷♂️🎬
And you can make a cult movie based on a cool book that will make at least someone read the book.
Regarding remakes - generations are changing, technology is moving forward, it is necessary to refresh the content, for example Dune - the old film now looks more like a comedy than like cool fiction. In addition, a generation of directors, screenwriters, etc. is growing up who grew up on old movies / games / cartoons and want to rethink them.
Посмотрим получше когда выйдет :)
In the cartoon, the first series were quite childish, if they leave it the same way, they may already lose the audience, who are not in the topic of how cool the original was entirely.
And so yes, Toph is one of my favorites, if not the most. - What are you doing here Twinkle Toes?
