Toshyak
Recently, Kinopoisk polled more than 230 directors, producers, showrunners, film critics, and screenwriters and compiled a list of the 100 most important films of our century. We tell you about the first seven of this ranking.
A still from the movie "Oil."

7. "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"

Fantasy, drama, romance | 4.24 out of 5 on MyShows | 2004

Shy Joel is horrified to discover that the love of his life, the effervescent Clementine, has erased him and their relationship from his memory after a relationship breakup. Frustrated and angry, Joel wants to repay her in kind and decides to undergo the same complex medical procedure. But as his memories of Clementine fade, Joel suddenly realizes that he still loves her and doesn't want to forget her at all.

"One of my favorite movies with my favorite actors. Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey are wonderful here. Jim Carrey with his acting was very impressive. It was unexpected and very cool to see him in a dramatic role", — SleepyFox.

"Interesting perspective on the changing relationship to each other over time", — dust_space.

"There's something about it after all. Beautifully shot, all those colorful memory tosses in the main character deserve a huge bow to the graphic designers and other creative people who worked on the picture. Besides, it made me think about the fact that moments lived with some people are so damn important, you don't have to rush to burn bridges and you should enjoy and cherish the moment, my friend. Because it can be truly beautiful and unique, but most likely you'll only realize it when it's a piece of memory from the distant past", — g1291858.

6. "No Country for Old Men"

Crime, drama, thriller | 4.19 out of 5 on MyShows | 2007

Coen Brothers movie based on the novel of the same name by Cormac McCarthy. In the story, welder and Vietnam War veteran Lewellyn Moss accidentally discovers the site of a drug dealers' shootout. There he finds a mountain of corpses as well as a briefcase containing $2 million. Moss takes the money for himself and plans to start a new life, unaware of where it will lead.

"Without special effects, the plot and style of shooting just pulled me in and did not let go until the end. Few such pictures came across, but for some reason this particular one reached only now", — vseslav.

"One of the most exciting movies. Great acting from Javier Bardem, Woody Harrelson, Tommy Lee Jones and many others. Great color gore, great camerawork. The plot is confusing in many ways, but the movie is even more interesting. Definitely a good movie!" — Captain_Phasma.

5. "Avatar"

Action, adventure, fantasy, sci-Fi | 4.37 out of 5 on MyShows | 2009

Paralyzed ex-marine Jake Sully is sent to the planet Pandora, home to the Na'vi, humanoid, highly evolved beings. He can't go there in his own body: Pandora's environment is poisonous to humans, so scientists have created avatars. The human's body "sleeps" and his mind controls the avatar. Jake's avatar gets to Pandora, falls in love with a Na'vi woman and the planet itself.

"The movie is from 2009, and what an imprint it left on the movie industry that it is still admired today!" — balala1ka.

"I still remember how we left the theater with our mouths open. Avatar is definitely a breakthrough in the movie industry", — DAN_DIN.

"When I first watched this movie back in 2009, I was blown away by the sheer scale of James Cameron's work. Watching the movie, it's as if you are immersed in this incredibly beautiful world of Pandora: this plant and animal world is amazing, avatars who have their own extraordinary way of life, very different from the lives of people who are ready to destroy their world for money. in general, you can talk about this movie for a long time, but I believe that you can watch it (and not once), as this movie is on the 1st place among its kind", — KatieSenorita.

4. "Dogville"

Crime, drama, thriller | 4.21 out of 5 on MyShows | 2003

1930-е. Fleeing from bandits, Grace finds herself in the small town of Dogville. The locals reluctantly agree to hide her, and Grace in turn agrees to work for them. However, when a search begins in Dogville, Grace learns from her own experience that kindness in this town is relative, and you have to pay for help.

The picture is directed and written by Lars von Trier with Nicole Kidman in the title role. "Dogville" — one of the favorite films of Quentin Tarantino: he called it one of the best among those that came out during his active directing activity, and also said that if the script of the film was written in the form of a play, von Trier would have received for him the Pulitzer Prize.

"A scathing drama. Kidman is perfectly cast here", — Hatjkva.

"Holy crap, this is a masterpiece! I didn't expect a movie made like this to make me this excited..." — Bo17.

3. "Spirited Away" / 千と千尋の神隠し

Fantasy, adventure, drama | 4.74 out of 5 on MyShows | 2001

10-year-old Chihiro and her parents stumble upon a deserted and seemingly abandoned town. Despite the eerie surroundings and Chihiro's foreboding feelings, the girl's parents sit down to eat at an empty diner filled with fresh food. It mysteriously turns them into pigs. A frightened Chihiro meets a young boy named Haku, who explains to her that these lands are ruled by the sorceress Yubaba, and to save her parents, Chihiro must get a job at her bathing house for supernatural creatures.

"Gorgeous work from Hayao Miyazaki. An amazing magical world filled with stunning imagery and mesmerizingly beautiful landscapes. Detailed detailed colorful picture and very lively pleasant animation. A fascinating story, touching with its sincerity and kindness, and a lot of unusual, but extremely cute and incredibly charming characters. Undoubtedly, this creation is a feast for the eyes and for the soul", — Barnaby.

"I am amazed by Miyazaki's imagination - I have never seen such cartoons before. Without exaggeration, his cartoons are something that came down from heaven. So much meaning, depth, cuteness, and everything -all beautiful", — Want_chips.

"One of my favorite anime ever... Magical, mysterious world, unusual and unusual creatures for ordinary people. It's just baldelicious!" — ViktoriaIgorevna.

2. "Mulholland Drive"

Drama, thriller, detective | 4 out of 5 on MyShows | 2001

кадр из фильма «Малхолланд Драйв»

David Lynch's "Mulholland Drive" tells the story of Betty, a perky young actress who goes to Hollywood in search of fame. There she meets a woman who has lost her memory in a car accident. Both girls set out to find clues and answers in Los Angeles, but soon discover that all is not as it seems in the city of dreams.

The movie, which explores Hollywood, its illusions and cruelty, earned Lynch the Best Director award at Cannes, an Oscar nomination in the same category, and four Golden Globes.

"A peculiar movie. Some moments were not understood by me, but it's Lynch and that says it all. At first, the plot seemed to me too long and boring, but frame by frame the story dragged more and more and by the end of the movie was 2.5 hours long, I thought disappointedly: "that's it?". I wanted to watch this mesmerizing picture more and more", — blacki3.

"It's interesting to watch, the story is captivating. The metaphoricality is not abstruse. I enjoyed the whole thing. Maybe a little long (2.5 hours is no joke), but with less time, maybe it wouldn't have been so fascinating", — izkrys.

1. "There Will Be Blood"

Кадр из фильма «Нефть»

A film adaptation of Upton Sinclair's novel starring Daniel Day-Lewis. The legendary actor plays Daniel Plainview, a charismatic and ruthless oil producer who will do anything to increase his capital and become the most powerful tycoon. One day Plainview learns of an oil-rich ranch and immediately sets out to buy it and annex it to his empire. There he unexpectedly encounters an obstacle in the form of a young priest named Eli.

"There are times when I look at people and don't see anything nice about them. I want to make so much money that I don't have to see anyone." Great picture, great movie, wonderful and great Daniel Day-Lewis and charismatic Paul Dano. I recommend it!" — psychoclarke.

"Put off seeing this movie for several years, and very much in vain. Beautiful acting and unrealistically beautiful locations", — nadele24.

"The bowling alley scene is just a blast of everything in terms of acting. The movie is great, it may seem dragged out for some, but otherwise everything else is top notch", — Inqshower.

@NyanQt3_14: Well, 234 respondents made up their tops, it turned out that "La La Land" scored more points than "Obsession". Here you just have to accept the fact that the resulting top may not fight with a personal top.

Please change the author of these tops! And again "100 great films of the XXI century according to Kinopoisk" arranged in a chaotic order with a slight movement of the hand, for some reason "7 best films of the XXI century according to Kinopoisk ". Understand, there are not 7 best films, there are 100 best films, and 7 films at the top of the list are not 7 best out of 100, but only 7 films at the top of the list! There is a button "Sort ". and by clicking for example there " By rating " you will get a top 7 like this:

1+1
Coco's Secret
Beginning
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Interstellar
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
The Lord of the Rings: Two Fortresses

And if you click on the number of ratings, I will surprise you, but the top will be different again, but it will consist of the same 100 great films of the XXI century)))

1+1
The Wolf of Wall Street
Avatar
Beginning
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Interstellar

It would be better to stupidly stick a link without text than to write articles like that.

You have a strange claim to the author of the article, Kinopoisk himself placed them in this order, calling Oil the best film of the 21st century. Even in the Kinopoisk podcast "Close-up" they discuss this list

@ZRaoulDuke: I disagree, because Kinopoisk created a list of "100 great films of the XXI century", but at the same time they themselves arranged them in places (this is sorting "in order").
Here is just an article about places from 25 to 1 - https://www.kinopoisk.ru/media/article/4008672/

@Bart182: Then another subjective top from critics of kinopoisk. which I often disagree with. (Yes, and according to the estimates of the audience, it is visible. which is not just me in this case. Although... not only in this case, the critics' ratings rarely coincide with the ratings of the audience in general) In short, the author is forgiven this time)))

"At the request of the editors of Kinopoisk, more than 230 experts — directors and producers, showrunners and film critics, writers and screenwriters — named the 100 most important films of this century."
As far as I understand, everyone compiled their own list of 10 films, and then based on them, this final one was collected.
The list, like everything else, is subjective, but at least it was created not just by a couple of critics

Maybe you shouldn't treat the tops on the MS as a rating? Put this stupid template out of your head and just look at the top 7% of the Kinopoisk. If the top is questionable, then maybe it's not a top in the usual sense, but just a list of 7 titles randomly taken from the source?
And another thing: taste is also a personal matter, it's worth remembering this. The author arranged it as he wanted, it's up to you to agree or reject.

In this collection, I have singled out for myself a couple of films that I have not watched before, and somehow, to be honest, I absolutely don't care which collection they are in: the 10 best or worst films of Kinopoisk, the author wanted to make it this way, why bother because of this?
A selection from Kinopoisk can be viewed in the kinopoisk itself in the end

I looked at the individual results. Interesting. Although kinopoisk has not improved a little. You could stick a link to yourself in each of the 10 recommended films to go directly to the movie page.

I was amused by how some female participants try to emphasize their femininity. Film critic, editor, manager, screenwriter. It is particularly noteworthy that none of those in really serious positions are engaged in such crap. No directors, producers and directors.

ps MyShows - UGH! Was it necessary to insert the referral part from Google in your link to the list in the article? /?utm_referrer=www.google.com
