"Reacher" will get a third season
Amazon Prime has renewed the series "Reacher" for a third season — this was revealed by the performer of the main role Alan Ritchson. News of the extension appeared before the premiere of the second part, the first three episodes of which will be released only on December 15. However, in the video dedicated to the announcement, showed an excerpt from the second season.
The series "Reacher" is based on the works of Lee Child. The first season was based on the debut novel of the series "Death Floor". Former military policeman Jack Reacher finds himself in the town of Margrave, Georgia, where he is accused of committing a murder. As Jack tries to prove his innocence, a conspiracy begins to unravel, which Reacher will need a sharp mind and strong fists to fight.
In the second part, Jack learns that members of his Special Investigation Squad are being tortured one by one and some of them are being killed. Then Reacher reunites with three former coworkers and begins to investigate. Together they will try to figure out who betrayed them and protect the members of the unit.
Showrunner of the series is Nick Santora, screenwriter of "Prison Break" and "Lie to Me". The release date of the third season has not yet been announced, but its production has already begun.
