The project will return in February.

Paramount+ has released the debut trailer for the second season of "Halo", based on the game series of the same name. The trailer also announced the show's return date, which will be February 8.

The series is about the confrontation between humanity and the alien threat known as Covenant. Humans are losing, and their last hope is the SPARTAN-II project, which is dedicated to creating super soldiers. The Covenant manages to find and destroy almost all of the fighters, but one ship does escape. On it is Master Chief, who is now responsible for saving humanity.

In the second season, Master Chief finds out that the war is about to change and the Covenant is preparing to attack the main stronghold of humanity. Master Chief sets out to find the Halo — the key to saving humanity or its extinction.

In the second season of the project changed showrunner: now this post is held by David Wiener, known for the series "Brave New World" and "Fear the Walking Dead". Also, the cast of the series was added two actors: Joseph Morgan ("The Originals") andCristina Rodlo ("No One Gets Out Alive") joined the show. Morgan will play James Akerson, a formidable spy serving in the secretive Office of Naval Intelligence. Rodlo will play the role of Talia Perez, a corporal specializing in linguistics who has yet to see actual combat.

I didn't play the game, I don't know Laura - as a result, I liked it, I'm waiting for the second season. And Pablo Schreiber still drags from American bugs, there is charisma in him. It is not visible at all in the trailer, the Asian woman from the first season, maybe the authors realized how she infuriates everyone and decided to remove her as far as possible.

Oh, what amazing news! I just can't wait for the return of the Halo series on Paramount+! The second season promises to be exciting and filled with drama, and the new showrunner David Wiener, known for such wonderful series as Brave New World and Fear the Walking Dead, will surely bring a fresh look and new emotions to the series. And, of course, I am glad to welcome Joseph Morgan and Christina Rodlo to the cast! I am sure that their talent and acting will add new vivid characters and interesting plot twists. I can't wait to find out what awaits the Master Chief in his search for the Halo and how he will cope with the threat from the Covenant. February 8th will be the day when we immerse ourselves in the exciting world of Halo again! Get ready for an incredible adventure!

Well, finally. And it's already clear from the trailer that the showrunner's change has benefited the series. Although I really liked the first season, despite all its obvious flaws.

Well, the trailer, by the way, is cheerful. As I understand it, this season will show the events of Halo: Reach and, apparently, the very first part. And this is good news. Otherwise, the prologue was somehow delayed.
