"We have something the enemy does not — we have heroes": a new trailer for "Halo" season 2 has emerged
Paramount+ has revealed a new trailer for the second season of "Halo" based on the game series of the same name. The first two episodes of the sequel will premiere on the service on February 8.
The series is about the confrontation between humanity and the alien threat known as Covenant. Humans are losing, and their last hope is the SPARTAN-II project, which is dedicated to creating super soldiers. The Covenant manages to find and destroy almost all of the fighters, but one ship does escape. On it is Master Chief, who is now responsible for saving humanity.
In the second season, Master Chief finds out that the war is about to change and the Covenant is preparing to attack the main stronghold of humanity. Master Chief sets out to find the Halo — the key to saving humanity or its extinction.
The first installment of the series premiered in March 2022. The show received contradictory reviews: the critics' rating on Rotten Tomatoes is 70%, while the users' rating is only 52%. Perhaps this influenced the change of showrunner: in the second season, this post was taken by David Wiener, known for the series "Brave New World" and "Fear the Walking Dead".
