Max has released the debut trailer for the fourth season of the crime anthology True Detective. The new six-episode chapter of the project, dubbed "Night Country", will begin airing on January 14.
At the center of the plot will be detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro, investigating the mysterious disappearance of employees of the Arctic research station in Alaska. To get to the truth, the investigators will have to deal with their own secrets buried under the eternal ice.
The main roles in the new installment are played by Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, also starring Christopher Eccleston, Finn Bennett, and Fiona Shaw. Issa Lopez ("Tigers Are Not Afraid") is the writer and director of all six episodes.
