"Station 19" will come to an end after its seventh season

The finale of the "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off will begin airing March 14, 2024.

ABC channel is closing the series "Station 19": the upcoming seventh season of the spin-off "Grey's Anatomy" will be the final season for the project. Deadline reports that the decision was made early in production, so producers and writers will be able to prepare a worthy finale for the firefighter drama.

The series is approaching its seventh season with significant changes in the team: in the last installment, the project had a change of showrunner. Krista Vernoff, who held that position, left the series, and her place was taken by Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige. Both were previously executive producers of "Station 19".

The series is about Seattle's new and already experienced firefighters. Every day they risk their health and lives to save people. And in between duty — become friends, fall in love, break up, and try to cope with personal problems.

The final part of the project will consist of ten episodes. The premiere of the first of them is scheduled for March 14, 2024.

@Liyuuuuunder: Well, if by pure numbers the Station started season 6 with 4.19 million viewers and ended with 3.72 million. And the last season of 9-1-1 aired on Fox began with 4.82 million viewers and ended with 4.32 million. But beyond that, there are numbers of watching on the record, on digital platforms, popularity on social networks and production costs.

Damn, it's a pity. It was the news that season 7 was being released, and now that season 7 is the last:(
But it's even more insulting that the episodes didn't cry like a cat, since we usually watched 16-18 episodes each.
Plus, I wonder how their latest tragedy will unfold and how everything will be finalised so quickly.
I hope that this will not be all crumpled up, and old couples will not be returned purely for the sake of the plot.
