Filming on the fifth season of "Stranger Things" will begin in early January
Netflix has revealed when the shooting of the fifth season of the series "Stranger Things" will start, which will be the final season for the project: the cameras will start rolling in early January. The exact start date is still unknown: the crew will begin work presumably on January 8, but the exact number may still change.
Creators and executive producers of the show Matt and Ross Duffer postponed the production of the project for more than seven months due to strikes of actors and writers. It's known that they had already started scripting the final installment before the pause, but the Duffers refused to reveal how far along they were. The brothers resumed work as soon as the writers' strike ended in late September.
The action of "Stranger Things" is set in the 1980s. In the small town of Hawkins, a 12-year-old boy named Will suddenly disappears, and his family and friends begin their own investigation. Venturing into the woods, Will's friends Mike, Dustin, and Lucas discover a girl with unusual abilities who may be able to help them in their search.
The final episodes will focus on the story of the original characters, and the action of the fifth installment will once again develop in Hawkins. The finale is expected to be released in 2025.
