The writers of "Stranger Things" are back to work on the show's final season
on September 27, the Writers Guild strike officially ended and Matt and Ross Duffer, the writers of "Stranger Things", are back at work on the show's fifth and final season. They revealed this themselves on Twitter, posting a picture with the words "we're back".
Not much is known about the final season of "Stranger Things": it is reported that the new series will focus on the story of the original characters, and the action of the finale will develop in Hawkins. It is also known the name of the first series – The Crawl. The authors of the episode were the Duffer brothers.
The action of "Stranger Things" develops in the 1980s. In a small town Hawkins suddenly disappears 12-year-old boy named Will, and his family and friends begin their own investigation. Traveling with the woods, Will's friends Mike, Dustin, and Lucas discover a girl with unusual abilities who may be able to help them in their search.
The final season was originally scheduled for release in the second half of 2024, but it is now unknown when it will be released: filming of the finale was supposed to start back in May, but was postponed due to a strike.
