"Drive-Away Dolls"

At the center of the story are two friends — daring Jamie, who is going through another breakup, and modest Marian, who desperately needs to loosen up. Looking for a fresh start, the girls embark on a spontaneous trip to Tallahassee. But things quickly go awry when the girlfriends accidentally rent the car of a group of inept criminals, in which a much-needed item is hidden.

Ethan Coen's first solo movie, having previously worked in tandem with brother Joel. Ethan wrote "Drive-Away Dolls" with his wife Tricia Cook, who also edited the picture — as well as many of the Coens' other projects. An impressive cast has gathered to support Ethan's debut, including Margaret Qualley, Geraldine Viswanathan, Pedro Pascal, Beanie Feldstein, and Matt Damon.

"Dune: Part Two"

A sequel to the adaptation of Frank Herbert's novels. The first "Dune" was rapturously received by critics, received ten Oscar nominations and collected an impressive box office. In March, we'll find out if the writer and director Denis Villeneuve was able to repeat the success.

"Mickey 17"

An adaptation of Edward Ashton's novel "Mickey7" from Bong Joon-ho, the Oscar-winning director of "Parasite" and "Memories of Murder". "Mickey 17" is about a man who is used as expendable material during the colonization of a distant planet. He takes on the most dangerous job — one that will surely lead to his death. However, after his death, he is regenerated in cloned bodies each time, with his memories preserved.

One day, the seventh version of this man is sent on another dangerous mission, but accidentally survives. Returning to the base, he discovers that his next — eighth — version has already been created. The movie starred Robert Pattinson, Steven Yeun, Mark Ruffalo, Naomi Ackie, and Toni Collette in the lead roles.

"Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga"

The prequel to "Mad Max: Fury Road" tells the story of Furiosa. As a young girl, she is kidnapped from the Green Lands by a marauding horde of bikers led by warlord Dementus. As they make their way through the Wasteland, they stumble upon the Citadel, led by Immortan Joe. As the two tyrants fight for supremacy, Furiosa must face many challenges to find her way home.

The role of Furiosa was played by Anya Taylor-Joy, with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Burke also starring in the project. The director and one of the screenwriters of the picture was George Miller — the director of the original "Mad Max" movie, released in 1979.

"Deadpool 3"

Premiere: July 26

The third movie about the adventures of Deadpool — a sarcastic mercenary Wade Wilson, who constantly breaks the fourth wall. The plot of the film has not yet been revealed, but it is known that in the new installment, Deadpool will be joined by Wolverine in the classic yellow suit (Hugh Jackman again).

Together with Jackman in the comedy action film starring Emma Corrin, Matthew MacFadyen, and Jennifer Garner, as well as Ryan Reynolds, who not only performs the main role, but also acts as a screenwriter and producer of the picture. For the production is responsible for Shawn Levy, who worked with Reynolds on the film "Free Guy" and "The Adam Project".

"Joker: Folie à Deux"

A sequel to Todd Phillips' "The Joker," released in 2019. In the film's final act, Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) shot Murray Franklin, causing him to end up in Arkham Asylum, a mental institution for criminals. It is here that he meets Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga), who is assigned to be the Joker's doctor.

The first "Joker" was ambiguously received by critics: some called it a masterpiece, others called it a predictable and toothless movie. Nevertheless, the picture received 11 nominations for "Oscar" and collected more than a billion dollars at the box office. So it's not surprising that Phillips decided to release a sequel, despite the fact that "The Joker" was originally conceived as a standalone movie.

"Nosferatu"

Premiere: December 25

A remake of the 1922 German film of the same name from writer and director Robert Eggers, who directed the horror films "The Witch" and "The Lighthouse". The new movie will tell the story of a real estate agent named Thomas Hutter. After the creepy vampire Count Orlok becomes obsessed with Ellen, Thomas's wife, the man will have to find a way to resist the bloodsucker and save the family.

The film stars Bill Skarsgard, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Emma Corrin in the lead roles.
