Starz has shut down the comedy "Minx" after its second season
The cable channel Starz decided not to order the third season of the comedy drama "Minx". This is not the first closure of the project: earlier Starz saved the series after HBO Max announced that it would not produce the second season of "Minx", despite the fact that its production was already coming to an end. Starz then bought out the project.
The channel recently shut down another comedy series — "Shining Vale" with Courteney Cox — and now there are no comedies on Starz. According to Deadline's sources, channel executives are worried that comedy projects are "not working" for Starz's audience.
The series "Minx", starring Ophelia Lovibond, was about a young aspiring feminist named Joyce. In the 1970s, she teams up with publisher Doug to start the first erotic magazine for women.
