Streaming service Max has renewed the comedy "Bookie" starring Sebastian Maniscalco and Omar J. Dorsey for a second season.

The series tells the story of Los Angeles bookie Danny. In California they are going to legalize gambling and betting, and it can finally ruin Danny's business. So he and his friends decide to collect debts from clients and at the same time make a lot of risky bets to make money.

The creators of the show are Nick Bakay ("Sabrina, the Teenage Witch") and Chuck Lorre (creator of "The Big Bang Theory " and "Two and a Half Men"). They will also take care of the second season of the project.

In the upcoming episodes, Deadline suggests, Danny will try to regain the favor of his wife Sandra after they were separated by his Super Bowl victory. And Ray will have to deal with the fallout from his mother's wedding, where the groom apparently died at the altar.

It's good, it's a funny series, and the first season was too short.
