Jacob Elordi will play Frankenstein's monster in Guillermo del Toro's new movie
Jacob Elordi has joined the cast of Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. Elordi, who recently starred in the film "Saltburn" and "Priscilla", will play the monster Frankenstein. The role of the scientist will perform Oscar Isaac, also in the movie will star Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, and Lars Mikkelsen.
The role of the iconic monster was originally intended for Andrew Garfield, but the actor had to drop out of the project due to scheduling conflicts that arose after the Hollywood strikes.
Del Toro's new movie will be released on Netflix and will be based on the novel Mary Shelley tells about Victor Frankenstein. The book is about a brilliant but narcissistic scientist who brings a dangerous creature to life in a monstrous experiment, which ultimately leads to the death of both the monster and its creator.
How exactly Guillermo del Toro, who works as the screenwriter and director of the project, will adapt and bring the novel to the screens, has not yet been revealed — the plot details of the movie are kept secret.
